Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers assist the priests during Mass and with special liturgical celebrations. They also take Holy Communion to the sick or disabled in their homes, in area nursing homes and the local hospital. A Eucharistic Minister develops a deep personal relationship to the Blessed Sacrament, carrying Our Lord to the sick of our community to enable them to experience the comfort and consolation of receiving His Body. Carrying Christ to others, becoming His arms and legs is the greatest spiritual satisfaction that a layperson can experience. Following selection for this ministry by the pastor, Eucharistic Ministers are provided with training by the diocese.
